Thank you so, so much for choosing to be a Santa! Without you, this program
could not exist and many children would go without for Christmas.
So what does being a Santa mean? Every Santa is hand matched with every
child. We try to find children who you will enjoy shopping for. We
encourage you to use this as a family or friend bonding moment, or to
teach you children the magic of giving. Once you receive your match,
please let us know you have it and are happy with your match.
Then shop! It is up to you what you choose to get. Some Santas get 3-4
items, others go nuts and get 20 items! Some bring stockings, some
don’t. Every Santa is different and their is no right or
wrong.
We ask children to give us 2-3 items that they have asked Santa for, some
of these items are pricey, like an Xbox or American Girl Doll, etc. This
does NOT mean you HAVE to get that item. These are wishes of the child
during a time when wishes have a greater chance of coming true. Remember,
these are kids who have little to no chance of receiving these items, but
they go to school with your children and see what they get. ( Of course they
want that stuff too! ) Most of these children are very aware of the
struggles their parents are going thru and honestly don’t expect
much, so this program, and YOU become a true miracle for them, and in turn
the parent(s). Imagine the stress you would feel if you had enough money
for rent and heat, but nothing to buy anything for your children and
nothing under the tree Dec 25th. Now you get an idea of how very special
and vital you, a Santa, is.
Make a day of it! Shop, have a lunch out, wrap together with hot coco and a
Christmas movie playing. Have FUN! I and the other Elves at Pantry 279 look
forward to working with you to make these miracles happen. This year we have
added some options to make things easier for you with choices of dropping
gifts at Elf Dispatch HQ, doing a porch drop to the family, or shipping
direct. You can choose 1 option or all of them and we will let you know
what your parent(s) prefer . May this be the Merriest of Christmas’s
