We wanted to give everyone an update on the truck repair fundraiser.
Thanks to your incredible generosity, we’ve raised half of what we need! We are so grateful for everyone who has donated, shared our posts, and kept us in your thoughts.
We still need $3,100 to cover the remaining repair costs and get the truck back on the road.
If you’re able to help, no donation is too small. Every dollar brings us one step closer. Donations can be made using any of the methods listed below.
Thank you again to everyone who has donated and shared our fundraiser so far. Your kindness, support, and encouragement mean more to us than words can express. Please continue sharing this post—it truly helps us reach more people.
Thank you all! ❤️

Attention Morgan County!! Thanks to the generous support of the Morgan County Community Foundation, we will be able to deliver food to those in need that are 100% homebound starting July 15! ( This was moved back from the 8th due to a family emergency )
Morgan County deliveries will happen weekly on Wednesdays. IF you are in need of food and are homebound, please fill out a delivery request at pantry279.org/contact-us/delivery-request Please read the rules when you do, the 2 most important are you must be 100% homebound, thus unable to come to pantries, and you MUST be home to sign for the food.
We have always welcomed Morgan County residents at Pantry 279, both for weekly food and our extra programs, now we can also offer delivery for those unable to make it. As always, we encourage you to take advantage of ALL resources available to you for the best help. Thank you Morgan County Community Foundation, futures volunteer drivers, and everyone for helping get the word out. PLEASE SHARE

Sometimes when it rains, it pours.... In addition to several big bills that came due this month ( rent, summer food purchases, van fixes, etc ) our big Box truck, Barney, needed some important repairs and maintenance . This totaled $6,710.32. OUCH! Diesels are expensive! This truck is our life line to picking up large donations and food purchases. If anyone is able, we could really use the help in paying for these repairs. Monetary donations can be made via:
PayPal pantry279@yahoo.com
VENMO @pantry279
Cashapp $pantry279
Mailed to : P.O. Box 312, Ellettsville, IN 47429
Or brought into the pantry next week when we reopen from the holiday. Thank you so much! and Please SHARE

🌟 July Volunteer of the Month: Chris 🌟
Chris has a true heart for serving others and has become an invaluable part of our pantry family. He believes that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and he lives that belief through his actions every day. Whether he’s greeting clients with a warm smile and kind words, running our Oolitic location for the Children’s Summer Food Program, or making deliveries whenever an extra driver is needed, Chris consistently goes above and beyond.
Recently, while returning our pantry van after completing deliveries, Chris witnessed a driver experiencing a medical emergency at a stoplight. Without hesitation, he put the van in park, rushed to help, safely stopped the driver’s vehicle, removed him from the car, administered Narcan, and performed CPR while others called 911. Thanks to his quick thinking, courage, and willingness to act, the individual began breathing again before emergency personnel arrived and was transported to the hospital, where he recovered.
Chris exemplifies compassion, selflessness, and service—not only through the countless hours he volunteers, but also through his readiness to help whenever someone is in need.
It is with great appreciation that we recognize Chris as our July Volunteer of the Month. Thank you, Chris, for making a difference in our community and inspiring us all through your kindness and dedication. ❤️
