It's that time of year where I apologize for ALL of the posts we are about to make until the new year. But there are many programs that need to get out there plus we are full force into Thanksgiving prep now. We currently have around 1550 families signed up to get boxes, we cut it at 2500.. So we need LOTS of food! It appears we have been able to order most of the meats, but will need the money to pay for them. If you are able, please consider donating food or making a monetary donation to help us insure everyone has a nice Thanksgiving dinner!

"Hello friends! We are looking for a delivery volunteer to help us next week, as well as regularly with our Lawrence County delivery route. Our small van is getting wrapped (with a big reveal coming soon!) and as such we need someone to run an 8-12 stop route in Lawrence County next Wednesday, the 7th. Additionally we have a consistent need for drivers to run our weekly Lawrence County route. If you are interested in filling in for next week or for when we need it in the future, please email us at Pantry279@yahoo.com with your contact information, and we will be in touch about volunteer delivery opportunities. Our delivery program helps folks without transportation keep healthy. Please reach out if you want to help ensure your neighbors are taken care of! ... See MoreSee Less

Hello all! Unfortunately, due to low participation we are cancelling the listening session tomorrow. We understand an extra trip to the Pantry can be hard for people right now with high gas prices, but we are glad that the offering of letters earlier this Summer was successful. We plan to continue to engage our community in opportunities to express our needs and advocate for essential social programs. We called on Representative Houchin to visit the Pantry and hope to meet with her staffers soon. The people who represent us should understand the great unmet need made by cuts to social services. If you would like us to share your experiences with food insecurity and living on a fixed income with our representatives, please feel free to write and share a personal narrative with us at Pantry279@yahoo.com. Thank you! ... See MoreSee Less
